A memorable concert performance "Ennio Morricone - the cinema in notes" will be presented on 18.08.2022. from 8:30 p.m. on the scene of "Tuida" fortress, city of Sliven.
Scriptwriter is Yulia Manukyan, soloist – soprano Maria Tsvetkova – Madzharova, maestro and orchestrations Levon Manukyan.
This is what pre-premier maestro Levon Manukyan says about the exciting musical project: "Ennio Morricone is one of the emblematic composers not only in Europe, but also in the whole world, and the interest in him has always been very high. We decided this year to try this music project, because people today are increasingly returning to established values, including old film music. That's why we made a tribute - as a tribute to what Ennio Morricone did during his life and creative longevity. Our desire is to get a wonderful project, with which I hope to give pleasure to the audience."
During the concert performance, footage from Hollywood productions and famous examples of European cinema will be broadcast on a multimedia screen, with selected film moments synchronized with the soundtrack from the corresponding work of the Seventh Art. The masterfully selected multimedia is also the work of screenwriter Julia Manukyan.
“Ennio Morricone is known as the most prolific composer of film music. In the tribute concert, the audience will hear some of his most popular works. We cannot miss titles such as Once Upon a Time in America, Once Upon a Time in the West, The Mission, The Hateful Eight, Cinema Paradiso, The Sicilian Clan, The Professional and, of course, one from the most favorite things of the Bulgarians from the past - "Octopus". Some of them have received the biggest awards for music, and I believe that we will take people back in time - to the big, high-quality cinema," said maestro.
