On 26 and 27 September 2026, Tuida Fortress in the city of Sliven, Bulgaria, became a stage for the past during the “Remember the Glory” Festival of Medieval Martial Games.
Over the course of several days, the fortress came alive with martial arts demonstrations, medieval battles, archery, historical reenactments, and presentations of medieval crafts and everyday life.
Participants from across Bulgaria and abroad recreated the martial games, weaponry, and traditions of bygone eras, while visitors had the opportunity to immerse themselves in the atmosphere of the Middle Ages.
The combat demonstrations and encounters with historical reenactors were particularly impressive, bringing history to life not merely as a story, but as an experience.
The festival brought together history enthusiasts, families, and visitors to Sliven, transforming Tuida Fortress into a place where the past unfolded before the audience’s eyes.
“Remember the Glory” left behind not only memorable moments, but also a lasting impression of a history that continues to live on.
