For the second consecutive year, Tuida Fortress will participate in the initiative European Heritage Days(EHD)
European Heritage Days are a joint initiative of the Council of Europe and the European Commission, and the National Coordinator for Bulgaria is the Ministry of Culture.For the first time, our country was involved in their celebration in 1999 year, and then the theme was "People's Architecture".
EHD will be marked with over 280 events in the territory of 77 municipalities in all districts in Bulgaria.Over 100 museums, cultural and natural objects will provide free entry for your visitors on certain days of September.Some of the events have already begun with the onset of the month when traditionally the 50 signatory countries of the European Cultural Convention have been directing their efforts to promote cultural heritage.
The pan-European theme under which Heritage Days will pass this year is "Heritage and Nature - a Landscape of Opportunities".Its aim is to focus public attention on the importance of cultural and natural heritage, both on their contribution to quality life and on socio-economic prosperity. At the same time, the issue raises the question of the interdependence between them in the process of preservation, access and popularization.
On this occasion on 30.09.2017 Fortress Tuida will be free admission for visitors.
Tuida Fortress will work with a free entrance to the World Tourism Day without any change in working hours from 09:00 until 20:00 o'clock.
World Tourism Day is celebrated annually on 27 September.It is celebrated since 1980 when the World Tourism Organization Statute enters into force in order to promote the international public's awareness of the importance of tourism and its role in the development of social, cultural, economic and political spheres of public life.
The topic of this annual World Day is "Sustainable tourism - a tool for development". The day will be dedicated to exploring the contribution of tourism to sustainable development.
The planned events on the territory of the Municipality of Sliven are info tour for the working people in the field of tourism will be held on September 27, when the World Tourism Day is celebrated, as well as entrance free in some of the tourist sites.The info tour will start at 10.30 am in the tourist information center of the Sinite Kamani Nature Park /the blue building to the market in center of the city/.There the program includes a presentation on "Historic Sites in Natural Park" Sinite kamani "- Facts and Legends".The presentation also includes familiarization with rare and protected birds inhabiting in the mountain of Sliven (Natural park Blue Stones).
From 11:00 to 12:00, the program continues with a visit to the Hadji Dimitar House Museum.
In information tour will include hoteliers, restaurateurs, owners and managers of attractions, sports facilities and others where visitors from the country or abroad are predominant. The main goal is the people who have the closest contact with the tourists and the guests of the town to know in detail - the cultural and historical heritage of Sliven, the natural landmarks in Blue Stones Nature Park and to motivate the guests of the town to visit them.
For the 6th time the Archaeological Reserve "Thracian and Antique City of Kabile" will host the Fair of Tourist Animation and Entertainment.
Visitors to the event will have the opportunity to immerse themselves in the ancient and medieval times. Touch the replicas of authentic weapons, shoot with bow, try ancient games and taste various antique foods and drinks.
For the second consecutive year, the team of Tuida Fortress will take part in the event.

From 2 to June 4, 2017, for the sixth consecutive year in the National historical archeological preserve "Pliska" will be held the annual Festival of Medieval LIFE AND CULTURE "DAYS OF ANCESTORS." The day scheduled for demonstrations is June 3, covering the period from the early to the late Middle Ages, presenting the lifestyle of Bulgarians, Byzantines and neighboring cultures related to us.
There will be about 220 participants from country and abroad.
And this year, the team of Tuida Fortress - Sliven together with Medieval Martial Arts Club "Ratina " will be part of the festival "Days of Ancestors", showing demonstrations of martial arts with a sword, bow and sword, fights between a soldier and a footman demonstrations with hunting birds and others.

On 31.05. 2017. From 17:00 p.m. in the "Yunak" Park will be held a Sports Holiday for small and large "Sportakus" with the participation of children and students from kindergartens and schools, and children and youth from SOP.
Participation in the sporting holiday will also take the Team of Tuida Fortress with interesting medieval games.
